Somali Community App uses location information to support nearby users, community discovery, events, and location-based features.
Your exact GPS coordinates are not publicly displayed to other users.
Appearing on community maps is optional.
Users may choose whether they want their profile to appear on maps by enabling or disabling map visibility within the app.
Users can turn map visibility off at any time through app settings.
When map visibility is enabled, the app may display only an approximate location rather than an exact GPS position in order to help protect user privacy.
Public map locations may be adjusted or generalized and should not be considered exact.
Users can block other users from within the application.
Blocking may limit messaging, profile visibility, and interactions between users.
We may use services such as Firebase, Cloudinary, Expo, and other providers to support app functionality. These services process data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
We do not sell your personal data.
We only share information when necessary to provide app functionality, comply with legal obligations, or protect users and the platform.
Users may delete their account and associated data from within the app.
Somali Community App is intended for adults and older teens. Users must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use the service.
